Jacquelyn Apostolo
Graduate Researcher | Data Analytics & Applied Sociology
CUNY Queens College
I am a graduate researcher at CUNY Queens College pursuing a Master of Data Analytics & Applied Social Research (expected 2027), with a 4.0 GPA. My work sits at the intersection of sociology, education equity, and data visualization, with a special interest in how institutions reproduce or disrupt inequality for urban, first-generation, and minoritized students.
As a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow and two-time Summa Cum Laude graduate in both Sociology and Studio Arts, I bring an interdisciplinary lens to my research. My work has been published in Teaching Sociology (SAGE) and the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Journal, and I have presented at regional conferences and campus symposia.
When I am not analyzing data or drafting chapters, I am designing research tools, mentoring undergraduate researchers, and thinking about how visual communication can make social science more accessible.
