Notes to Future Self
Lecture notes. Fortune cookies. Movie tickets. Recipes. Small inscriptions accumulated between 2016 and the present day.
Each was saved for a reason that has since been forgotten. The context is gone. The meaning that once made them worth keeping has dissolved, leaving only the objects themselves — slips of paper, handwritten fragments, printed margins — stripped of their original purpose and open to something else entirely.
What remains when the reason for keeping something disappears is not nothing. It is an invitation. These items have become artifacts of a life I can no longer fully reconstruct, surfaces to be decoded, interpreted, and unraveled — not to recover what they once meant, but to discover what they mean now.
This is a collection of things I did not throw away. I am still figuring out why.
